He has been delivering consistently at the box office with two super hits in two years (LOVE AAJ KAL and RACE). Now that he is days away from the release of KURBAAN, he isn't willing to skyrocket his expectations and is instead waiting for audiences reaction. However, Kareena Kapoor insists that it is the intensity and complexity in his character which would make Saif a strong contender for all major awards for 2009.

"Have I come up with an award winning act? Well, I won't say that. Really, I never thought of an award while shooting for KURBAAN. Yes, it's a tough and a strong role but what I have done isn't stupendous. Yes, the film is stupendous though. It is a deadly movie for sure. Regarding my performance, it's for people to decide once they watch it", comes a diplomatic and balanced response from Saif.

This still doesn't take away from the fact that Kareena is quite confident about good appreciation coming Saif's way and is gung go about stupendous act.

"Believe me, he will walk away with the awards", she smiles, "I have seen the film and it has turned out to be brilliant."

Also starring Vivek Oberoi, Dia Mirza, Om Puri and Kirron Kher, KURBAAN with music by Salim-Sulaiman is releasing all over on 20th November 2009.
